In a recent outburst, Nigerian superstar Wizkid revealed that global fashion brand Puma allegedly reached out to him before settling for Davido as their ambassador. According to Wizkid, he rejected the offer because Puma couldn’t meet his financial demands, stating he “wanted more.”
The singer’s revelation came in response to criticism from a fan, where he asserted his superiority over other Nigerian artists like Rema, Tems, and Burna Boy. Wizkid also emphasized that while Puma is a significant brand, their budget for Africa wasn’t enough for him, but “was cool” for Davido.
In a fiery social media post, Wizkid wrote, “I turned down Puma cos they could no longer afford to pay me… Way bigger than every artiste you just mentioned!”
