Nigerian rapper Ladipoe shared his thoughts on the ongoing rift between Wizkid and Davido, suggesting it might be a promotional strategy.
In an interview with City 105.1 FM, Ladipoe expressed admiration for both singers despite not being close to them. He noted that their rivalry could be a "business-minded" move to utilize the attention.
"I think they're too savvy not to see the business opportunity," Ladipoe said. "Beef for promoting stuff is an old tactic. It's effective, but not my preferred strategy."
Ladipoe's comments follow Portable's similar claims that Wizkid and Davido are using the feud to stay relevant.
Ladipoe believes that Wizkid and Davido are too experienced and savvy to let their rivalry go to waste, and will likely capitalize on it to promote their projects. This tactic, while not his favorite, has proven effective in the music industry.
Wizkid and Davido, two of Nigeria's biggest music stars, have been engaged in a heated feud since May. The rift began with a video of Davido crying and pleading for new music, followed by continued exchanges of jabs on social media.
