Wilfred Ndidi has secured his place in the elite club of Nigerian footballers who’ve stamped their authority in the Premier League.

Reaching 200 appearances, the 27-year-old midfield maestro stands tall as only the ninth Nigerian to do so.

Since he came into the scene with Leicester City, Ndidi has remained a consistent and  power-driven force in the midfield, becoming a key figure at the King Power Stadium.

With this achievement, Ndidi joins the top group that includes Premier League legends like Nwankwo Kanu, who clocked 273 appearances, and the ever-present Shola Ameobi, who holds the Nigerian record with 298 games. His accomplishment also places him just a few matches behind Victor Moses and John Obi Mikel, titans of the game, with 220 and 249 appearances, respectively.

As Ndidi continues to flourish, not only in his deep-lying role but also as a dynamic leader on and off the pitch, it's clear that his name will forever remain in the  Premier League story. With fellow Fox, Kelechi Iheanacho, hot on his heels with 196 appearances, Nigerian talent continues to shine on England's grandest stage.
