Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has addressed rumours suggesting she was pregnant by American rapper Future.
The rumours began after Tems attended Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2024 London Fashion Week show in December last year, wearing a black dress with a purple coat that sparked speculation about her being pregnant.
Appearing on a recent episode of The Breakfast Club, Tems questioned why Future was singled out in the rumours, humorously asking why no one claimed Wizkid or Drake was the father. “People just pick the most controversial names. I thought, why Future? Why not Wizkid or Drake?” she remarked, adding that Future’s reputation as a father of multiple children might have fueled the rumours.
Tems also shared her musical influences during the interview, citing top rappers like Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Ab-Soul, Andre 3000, and J.Cole as inspirations. Notably, she was featured on Drake’s Certified Lover Boy album and J.Cole appeared on her debut album Born in the Wild, released this year.
