Founder of Streams of Joy International, Jerry Eze has shared the story of forgiving a woman who assaulted his mother when he was a child.

In a post on X, the cleric recalled how the woman, a former neighbor, once threw his mother to the ground and beat her. He described it as a painful memory that stayed with him for years.

Recently, the same woman came to him for prayers and support. She told him that his ministry, NSPPD, had changed her life.

Eze said he had to choose between holding onto the past or offering forgiveness. He chose to forgive and help her.

“It’s amazing how I extended help to her, and she broke down in tears,” he wrote. “Forgiveness is so liberating. I know it hurts, but please forgive! The Holy Spirit will help you.”

The cleric encouraged others to embrace forgiveness, saying it brings freedom and healing.
