Veteran Nigerian actor and comedian Nkem Owoh, affectionately known as “Osuofia,” is celebrating his 70th birthday today, February 7, 2025. Renowned for his significant contributions to Nollywood, Owoh has been a beloved figure in Nigerian entertainment, particularly for his comedic roles that have left an indelible mark on audiences.

In a heartfelt message on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Owoh expressed his gratitude, stating, “Hurray, I’m 70 years today.”

Throughout his illustrious career, Owoh has starred in numerous films, with “Osuofia in London” being one of his most iconic, earning him the enduring nickname “Osuofia.” His diverse filmography also includes notable titles such as “Stronger than Pain” and “Ikuku.”

His exceptional talent has garnered him multiple accolades, including the prestigious Africa Movie Academy Award (AMAA) for “Best Actor in a Leading Role” for his performance in “Stronger than Pain.” Additionally, he was honored with the AMAA Lifetime Achievement Award at the 13th edition of the awards.
