Social media critic Verydarkman (VDM) has commented on a viral complaint by Omotayo Zinnat regarding a ₦6,000 bowl of pepper soup from celebrity chef Hilda Baci’s restaurant, My Food By Hilda. Omotayo expressed disappointment over the small and unappealing portion she received.
While VDM agreed that the portion was inadequate, he criticized Omotayo for choosing to order food instead of cooking at home. He remarked that, in the past, women were embarrassed to admit they bought food from restaurants, as home cooking was the norm. VDM suggested that modern women relying on takeout may struggle to cook for their families in the future, attributing this shift to “modern civilization” and “wokeness.”
