Social media activist Vincent Martins Otse, widely known as Verydarkman, has publicly supported podcaster Maliya Michael following her controversial statements about financial expectations from men.
In May 2023, during a podcast with influencer Caramel Plug, Maliya stirred up debate by asserting that accepting as little as N5,000 or N10,000 from a man was beneath her standards. This comment went viral and elicited a mix of reactions online.
Fast forward to October 15, 2024, and Maliya became a trending topic once again after launching an OnlyFans account, where she offers exclusive nude photos for N25,000 each. Critics quickly emerged, suggesting that her move indicated financial desperation.
Despite the backlash, Verydarkman announced his support, stating he would subscribe to her account. He remarked, “OnlyFans isn’t a bad thing. With how she spoke on the podcast, it’s surprising she’d join. Many on OnlyFans are selling their bodies; it’s just a different kind of work.” He added, “Congratulations to her—I’m curious to see what she’s offering for N25,000.”
