Feyenoord Rotterdam has officially appointed Robin van Persie as the club’s new head coach.
The Dutch side confirmed the news on Sunday, welcoming their former star back to De Kuip.
"The next chapter starts here. Robin van Persie, welcome home again," Feyenoord said in a statement.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Van Persie has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2027.
The former Netherlands international enjoyed a stellar playing career at Feyenoord, Arsenal, and Manchester United before moving into coaching.
Romano also revealed that René Hake, a former assistant to Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, will join Van Persie's coaching staff. Hake brings experience that could help guide the new manager through his first major role in charge.
