The Nigerian music industry is well represented this year, with Afrobeats stars dominating the African Song Performance category. Burna Boy earned his sixth Grammy nomination for his song Higher, while Asake received a nod for his collaboration with Wizkid on MMS. Davido and Lojay also secured nominations for their work on Chris Brown’s Sensational.

Tems leads as the only African artist with three nominations in global music categories, including Best Global Music Album for her debut album Born in the Wild and Best R&B Song for Burning.

Other notable nominations include Yemi Alade, earning her first solo nod for Tomorrow, and Rema, nominated for Best Global Music Album with his project HEIS. Jordan Adetunji also made history with a nomination for Best Reggae Album for his work on Bob Marley’s One Love soundtrack.

This year’s recognition highlights the growing global impact of African music, with Burna Boy continuing to set records as the most-nominated Nigerian artist in Grammy history.
