Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham’s latest release, Alakada: Bad and Boujee, has achieved a significant milestone, grossing ₦401 million at the Nigerian box office.
The film, the fifth installment in the popular Alakada series, premiered in cinemas nationwide on December 20, 2024. It earned ₦58 million during its opening weekend, indicating strong audience interest.
Expressing her gratitude, Toyin Abraham took to Instagram to thank God, her fans, and supporters for their unwavering support. She acknowledged that their love and encouragement have been instrumental in the film’s success.
The Alakada franchise has consistently performed well at the box office, with previous installments like Alakada Reloaded (2017) grossing approximately ₦74 million and Fate of Alakada (2020) earning over ₦100 million within 53 days.
Alakada: Bad and Boujee continues to attract audiences and is currently showing in cinemas across Nigeria. Its success contributes to the growing recognition of Nollywood’s impact on the global film industry.
