Nigerian music sensation Tiwa Savage has unveiled her ambition to transition into her “mogul era,” aiming to build an empire that cements her status among self-made women globally.

In a recent interview with Forbes Africa, the 45-year-old singer reflected on her diverse upbringing and early inclinations toward the arts. She recounted choosing drama during her school years, recognizing her innate talent for acting. “Even when I started my music career, I knew, at some point, I was going to go back into that field,” Savage shared.

Her eclectic background—growing up in Nigeria, relocating to the United Kingdom, and studying jazz in the United States—has enriched her musical versatility. “I can do a jazz record, a garage song, or an Afrobeats track, and it all feels authentic. I have lived these experiences,” she explained.

Beyond her artistic pursuits, Savage envisions establishing educational initiatives, such as building a school or launching a scholarship program to nurture upcoming artists. These endeavors align with her broader goal of empowering the next generation in the music industry.
