Golf legend Tiger Woods has announced he is dating Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr.
Woods, 49, shared photos of himself and Vanessa, 47, on social media, writing: “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together.” He also asked for privacy for their loved ones.
Vanessa was married to Donald Trump Jr. for 13 years, and they have five children. They divorced in 2018.
Rumours Confirmed
Speculation about their relationship had been circulating in gossip magazines, but this is the first time Woods has confirmed it publicly.
Woods, a 15-time major champion, has been private about his personal life since his 2009 cheating scandal, which led to his divorce from Elin Nordegren. The two share two children.
Reports suggest that Woods’ children attend the same school as Vanessa’s kids, which may have brought them closer.
Links to the Trump Family
Vanessa was a familiar face at Trump family events during Donald Trump’s presidency. Meanwhile, Woods has played golf with the former president multiple times, including last month.
In February, Woods also joined a meeting with Trump and golf officials at the White House to discuss the sport’s future, particularly the ongoing split between the PGA Tour and Saudi-backed LIV Golf.
Trump awarded Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2019.
Both Woods and Vanessa have children involved in junior golf. Vanessa’s daughter, Kai Trump, 17, has committed to playing college golf at the University of Miami. Woods’ son, Charlie, also plays competitively.
Meanwhile, the golf star has been out of action due to an Achilles tendon injury announced earlier this month. He has not played in a PGA Tour event this season, following the death of his mother, Kultida, in February.
This is Woods’ first public relationship since his split from former girlfriend Erica Herman, who filed lawsuits against him in 2023 but later dropped them.
While Woods has dated high-profile women before, including Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, this new relationship has drawn extra attention due to Vanessa’s ties to the Trump family.
