Nollywood sweetheart Adesua Etomi has recalled on the harrowing nightmare that defined her 2024, a year filled with life-threatening illnesses, emergency surgeries, and a brutal test of faith.
Taking to Instagram on her birthday, Adesua aired out the horrors she endured, while counting her blessings. With an explosive confession, she noted that the devil was out for blood—her blood.
"I ended up with an emergency C-section because the devil tried it with my life AGAIN," she wrote, exposing the terrifying ordeal that nearly cost her everything. But that wasn’t all. While battling hyperemesis—an extreme pregnancy sickness that left her bedridden—her husband, beloved singer Banky W, was simultaneously fighting for his life after doctors discovered yet another cancerous tumor.
"2024 really tried to take the wind out of my sails," she admitted, revealing that her family was blindsided by back-to-back health crises. Banky W, who had already undergone surgery for skin cancer in the past, had to go under the knife again—this time, with his pregnant wife also in a hospital bed.
The actress didn’t hold back, pointing fingers at unseen forces trying to take her down. "My village people are incredible," she said, referencing a popular Nigerian belief that misfortune is often the work of envious enemies or dark spiritual forces. But despite the relentless attacks, she vowed to come back stronger than ever.
"NOW, I’m coming for everything that is mine. Nothing and nobody can stop me," she declared, sending a clear message to both human and supernatural adversaries alike.
