Renowned Nigerian music director and cinematographer, ThankGod Omori Smith, popularly known as TG Omori or Boy Director, recently shared a deeply personal update about his health. On Tuesday, TG Omori revealed that his only brother had donated a kidney to him, a gesture that saved his life.
In a post that quickly went viral on his official X account, TG Omori disclosed that the kidney transplant took place on Monday, August 26, 2024. He wrote, "Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again."
Omori also took to his Instagram story to share images of himself in a hospital bed, receiving oxygen. The photos were captioned with a heartfelt plea: "Keep my spirit alive. I don’t wanna die."
The revelation comes after a period of absence from the public eye, which had sparked widespread concern among his fans about his well-being.
