Nigeria's national football team, the Super Eagles, is gearing up for their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya on Friday.
Despite star player Victor Osimhen's injury, Coach Austin Eguavoen is optimistic about the team's chances.
Osimhen suffered a strain and minor bleeding in his left posterior muscle group during a recent match and will miss the two-legged tie against Libya.
"Osimhen's absence is a huge miss, but we have other players who can fill his shoes," Eguavoen said. "He may not be here physically, but I'm sure he's with us spiritually."
The Super Eagles currently top Group D with four points from two games. They face Libya at the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo on Friday at 5 PM Nigerian time, followed by the reverse fixture next Tuesday.
Eguavoen expressed confidence in his team's ability to overcome Osimhen's absence and secure a win against Libya.
