Super Eagles: Chelle names 39-man squad for Rwanda, Zimbabwe World Cup Qualifiers

Super Eagles head coach Éric Sékou Chelle has released a provisional list of 39 players for Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

The squad includes key players like Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Wilfred Ndidi, and Alex Iwobi. Veterans Ahmed Musa and William Troost-Ekong also made the list, while new faces such as Igoh Ogbu, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, and Jerome Akor Adams earned their first call-ups.

Nigeria is currently fifth in Group C, behind Rwanda, South Africa, Benin Republic, and Lesotho. The Super Eagles will face Rwanda in Kigali on March 21 before hosting Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on March 25.
