Afrobeats artist Spyro has opened up about facing discrimination in the Nigerian music industry after publicly embracing Christianity.
In a recent interview with Echo Room, he shared that fellow musician-turned-pastor Banky W cautioned him about potential challenges following such a declaration.
Banky W reportedly mentioned that his own industry struggles began after he proclaimed his faith. Spyro noted a lack of support from media moguls, suggesting that openly identifying as a ‘Jesus boy’ has led to significant criticism and a deliberate effort to undermine his career.
