Nigerian singer Slimcase faced online criticism after a video surfaced showing him prostrating to greet fellow artist Burna Boy at Lagos’s Secret Palace nightclub.
Critics questioned the gesture, noting that Burna Boy is younger than Slimcase. In response, Slimcase clarified in a video that his action was a sign of respect for Burna Boy’s significant achievements in the music industry, including winning a Grammy Award.
He emphasized that such respect is due regardless of age differences. Slimcase also mentioned that he would extend the same greeting to younger artists like Rema if they achieved similar accolades.
