Nigerian street-hop sensation Seyi Vibez has unveiled a surprise 4-track EP titled Children of Africa, marking his first release since parting ways with Dapper Music. The EP, released on February 21, 2025, features a collaboration with American rapper NLE Choppa on the track “MACHO.” This project is Seyi Vibez’s sixth solo release in three years and his first under his own label, No Seyi No Vibez INC, in partnership with EMPIRE. The lead single, “Shaolin,” is already gaining traction among fans.
Seyi Vibez’s departure from Dapper Music in September 2024 followed a series of events, including the cancellation of a show in Toronto, which led to social media backlash. He subsequently removed all Instagram posts and references to the label, signaling his independence.
The Children of Africa EP showcases Seyi Vibez’s signature blend of Apala music, Afrobeats, and Hip Hop, reinforcing his status as a prominent figure in Nigeria’s music scene.
