Selena Gomez has officially joined the ranks of billionaires, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index. The American pop star, actress, and entrepreneur has amassed an estimated fortune of $1.3 billion, largely thanks to her successful Rare Beauty brand, as well as her contributions to music and television.
Bloomberg reports that over 80% of Gomez’s net worth comes from her stake in Rare Beauty Brand Inc., with additional wealth generated from brand partnerships, acting deals, and her involvement in mental-health startups.
On Instagram, Gomez boasts 424 million followers, making her the third most-followed person on the platform, just behind football legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Despite her success in music, tours account for less than 5% of Gomez’s wealth, with album and record sales contributing less than 2%. She has not toured since 2016. The majority of her fortune—approximately $1.1 billion—comes from her stake in Rare Beauty, solidifying her status as a billionaire.
