American music mogul Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, has been implicated in the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur.
According to new court documents reported by the U.S. Sun, Combs is accused of paying a staggering $1 million to orchestrate Shakur’s assassination. The documents, filed on July 18, reveal that the Bad Boy Records boss is mentioned 77 times under various aliases, including Puffy, Puff Daddy, and his legal name, Sean Combs.
The accusation stems from suspect Duane “Keefe D” Davis, who was arrested for Shakur’s murder last year. Davis, who has been vocal about his involvement, is quoted in the documents stating that he did not intend to provide evidence against others during his conversations with police.
However, the same documents suggest otherwise, alleging that Combs paid Eric Von Martin $1 million for the killings. In a transcript, Davis reportedly testified to Combs’ involvement, stating, “Yeah, I think he did,” when asked by police if Combs played a role in the murder.Davis recounted how Combs allegedly expressed a strong desire to eliminate Knight, claiming he was “scared” of him and had issues with Shakur following a diss track release.
In the light of this, prosecutors seek to oppose Davis’ latest bail request, which was denied last month due to concerns over the source of his $112,500 bail bond.
