The Nigeria Golf Federation President, Olusegun Runsewe, has introduced Africa's first online golf training program, marking a milestone in the sport's development on the continent.
Runsewe expressed excitement about the initiative, calling it a "dream come true." Reflecting on his journey, he said, "I realized that golf in Nigeria was too localized, and there was a need to expose our players to global standards."
He recounted travels to South Africa and Botswana to learn advanced techniques, which eventually led to bringing professionals like Kelosiwaag Mpoh from Botswana to train 15 Nigerian pros in modern methods at reduced costs.
Runsewe hopes this new online platform will make training more accessible and elevate the skills of golfers across the continent.
