President Trump initiates major staff overhaul in white house

On January 22, 2025, President Donald Trump announced plans to dismiss over a thousand presidential appointees from the previous administration who do not align with his vision to “Make America Great Again.” This move is part of a broader strategy to restructure the White House staff.  

In a post on Truth Social, President Trump stated:

“Our first day in the White House is not over yet! My Presidential Personnel Office is actively in the process of identifying and removing over a thousand Presidential Appointees from the previous Administration, who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again.”

He continued, issuing official dismissals for four individuals:

“Let this serve as an Official Notice of Dismissal for these 4 individuals, with many more, coming soon.”

The individuals dismissed include

•José Andrés from the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition

•General Mark Milley from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council

•Brian Hook from the Wilson Center for Scholars

•Keisha Lance Bottoms from the President’s Export Council

This announcement has sparked discussions about the future direction of the White House staff and the potential impact on ongoing initiatives.
