French forward, Paul Pogba has won his appeal against a four-year ban from football, reducing his suspension to just 18 months.

The 31-year-old Juventus midfielder was initially banned by Italy's anti-doping tribunal last August after testing positive for testosterone. But Pogba maintained his innocence, insisting he had unknowingly taken the banned substance DHEA, which boosts testosterone.

After a tense appeal process at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Switzerland, Pogba finally received the verdict: his ban was slashed to 18 months, paving the way for his return to the pitch in March 2025.

Pogba's successful appeal means he can start training with Juventus in January, setting the stage for a thrilling comeback. His original €5,000 fine was also waived.

The World Cup winner's ordeal began last August when he tested positive for testosterone. Devastated by the ban, Pogba vowed to clear his name.

CAS' verdict vindicated Pogba, confirming that DHEA, the substance he inadvertently took, only affects females.

As Pogba prepares to reclaim his spot on the football landscape, fans and teammates alike eagerly await his return.

With his ban reduced, Pogba's focus shifts from fighting for his career to fighting for championships.
