Paul Okoye’s emotional plea: can’t we still be brothers? Amid onoing P-Square rift

Nigerian music star Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy of the famous P-Square duo, has openly questioned why he and his brothers can’t maintain their family bond, despite no longer being in business together.

This comes in the wake of a public fallout between Paul and his twin brother, Peter Okoye. The rift became widely known after Paul accused Peter of reporting him to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), leading to a potential arrest.

In response, Peter issued an open letter via social media, denying the accusations. He stated that his primary concern was to expose the truth behind a secret company, Northside Music, allegedly owned by their elder brother Jude Okoye and his wife, Ifeoma.

Jude Okoye, addressing the issue in an Instagram live session on Saturday, refuted Peter’s claims, denying any diversion of P-Square’s royalties worth millions of dollars into a private account.

However, during his own Instagram live session on Monday, August 19, 2024, Rudeboy voiced his dismay over the ongoing feud, saying, “Even if we don’t do P-Square, can’t we be brothers? Even if we can’t do music, can’t we be brothers? Like I said, I don’t want to talk much. I don’t used to talk before. It’s so unfortunate.”

The case remains under investigation by the EFCC.
