Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has confirmed his immediate return to the pitch after the international break, .
Osimhen, who sustained an injury during Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw with Kasimpasa, revealed in a video that he expects to be back for the club’s next league match against Antalyaspor on October 19.
Osimhen’s injury, which occurred just after he netted twice in the game, led to his substitution at halftime, and the club quickly announced he had begun treatment.
The injury also ruled him out of Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya.
Initially, Osimhen was expected to miss six weeks of action. However, in a video circulating on social media, Osimhen confidently replied, “After the international break,” when questioned on his return date by Turkish journalist Caner Isbegendiren.
Turkishh analyst Emre Sarıgül says, “Osimhen’s return will be a massive lift for Galatasaray. His goal-scoring ability and physical presence will make a significant difference in the Süper Lig.”
