Nigerian singer Orezi has disclosed that in 2016, he received a ₦30 million gift from a woman he met at a club in Abuja. In a recent interview with Echo Room, the “Ogede” hitmaker clarified that the substantial sum was not a payment for sex but an appreciation for their time together.
Orezi recounted that after spending the night together, the woman contacted him the following day to check on him and requested his bank account details, subsequently transferring ₦30 million. He expressed surprise at the gesture, noting that he hadn’t expected such generosity.
The singer also mentioned that many male celebrities enjoy similar privileges, suggesting that being a public figure can attract such acts of generosity.
