Food critic Opeyemi Famakin has accused celebrity businessman Cubana Chief Priest of threatening his life following a negative review of his son’s restaurant in Owerri.

Famakin shared a screenshot on Instagram of a direct message conversation where Cubana Chief Priest allegedly warned him of consequences for the unfavorable review. In the message, Cubana reportedly called Famakin a "low life" and hinted at retribution, leaving the critic to "karma" for his review of the 6-year-old’s restaurant.

In response, Famakin voiced concerns for his safety, stating he planned to leave Imo State and asked his followers to hold Cubana Chief Priest responsible if anything were to happen to him. He highlighted the stark difference between Cubana's polite public comment on his video and the private message, which had a much more threatening tone.

"I know a threat when I see one. I guess it's time to leave Imo State ASAP. If anything happens to me while I’m here, you know who to hold," Famakin wrote.
