Olamide's surprise release project 'Ikigai,'has set a new 2024 record on the digital streaming platform, Spotify.

In a surprising move, multiple award-winning rapper and music mogul Olamide, also known as Baddo, has set a new record for all Nigerian projects released in 2024 on Spotify. His latest release, "Ikigai / 生き甲斐, Vol. 1," features seven captivating tracks, each offering a unique sonic experience. Olamide showcases his versatility by skillfully blending elements of Afrobeats, rap, and soulful melodies, creating an extraordinary listening journey.

Named after the Japanese concept of "a reason for living," the EP's title suggests a possible multi-volume series, leaving us eager to see its future direction

Ikigai gathered over 1.8 million streams on Spotify alone making it the most-streamed Nigerian project released in 2024 in the first full day of tracking. The album also amassed 3 Million streams on Audiomack and 1.1 million streams on Boomplay Music on its first day of release.
