Nollywood actress Ini Edo has lost her father.
The film star shared the sad news on Instagram on Monday, posting a photo of her late father. She described his passing as "the hardest thing" she has ever had to endure.
In her tribute, Ini Edo called him her "greatest cheerleader and first love," saying he will always have a place in her heart.
“This post has been the hardest to make… I have lost my greatest cheerleader… My Beloved Father, My first love,” she wrote.
“The Heavens have gained an Angel. You will forever remain in my heart. Rest on King.”
However, she did not reveal the cause of his death or when he passed away.
Following her announcement, fans and colleagues flooded the comment section with messages of condolence.
Her father’s passing comes just weeks after comedian Bovi lost his father, Edward Sagini Ugboma, who died "peacefully" on February 13.
In December 2024, actress Lala Akindoju also mourned the loss of her father at the age of 71.
Recently, she joined the cast of Netflix’s reality series Young, Famous & African.
In 2021, she welcomed her daughter through surrogacy after experiencing miscarriages and unsuccessful IVF treatments.
