In the latest FIFA World Rankings released for July, Nigeria's national football team, the Super Eagles, have dropped one spot to 39th globally. Despite maintaining their points tally of 1,498.93 from June, the team's lackluster performances in World Cup qualifying matches have seen them slide down the rankings. This marks a significant decline for the Super Eagles, who had previously occupied the 30th spot in the global rankings. Their struggles on the pitch have resulted in a nine-place drop over the past two months.

On the continental stage, however, Nigeria remains fifth in the African rankings, behind Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Cote d'Ivoire.

Meanwhile, other nations have made notable moves up the rankings. Spain has climbed to 7th place, while England has jumped to 4th position, swapping places with France.

The next ranking update is eagerly anticipated to see if Nigeria can arrest their slide and regain their footing on the global stage.
