The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is all set for its 2024 Annual General Assembly, which will take place in Asaba, Delta State, on Friday.
Delegates arrived in the state capital on Thursday evening in preparation for the event.
The NFF General Assembly is the largest yearly gathering of football administrators and stakeholders in Nigeria. It serves as a platform for discussing ideas and formulating the rules and policies that will guide the administration of football in the country over the next year.
Attendees include chairmen and secretaries from Football Associations in the 36 states and the FCT, as well as representatives from the Nigeria Premier Football League, Nigeria National League, Nigeria Women Football League, and the Nationwide League One. Also present will be representatives from the referees' association, players' union, and coaches' association. Together, they form the NFF Congress.
NFF Executive Committee members, former NFF Presidents, and General Secretaries will also be present, with Senator John Owan Enoh, the Minister of Sports Development, attending as a special guest. FIFA Council member Amaju Melvin Pinnick and a representative of the West African Football Union (WAFU B) will also witness the event.
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, will officially open the General Assembly at the Unity Hall of the Delta State Government House, with other government officials, dignitaries, media representatives, and observers in attendance.
