American rapper Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, popularly known as NBA YoungBoy, has been released from federal prison earlier than anticipated. Initially serving a 27-month sentence on federal charges, his release date had been updated from July 27, 2025, to April 26, 2025. However, reports indicate that he was released on March 24, 2025.
The news was confirmed by NBA YoungBoy’s associate, OG 3Three, who expressed his excitement on Instagram, stating, “UHHHHHH OHHHHH MY BABY IS BACK HOMMMEEEEEEE.” Additionally, DJ Akademiks noted that the rapper may have been transferred to a halfway house or is heading home.
This development follows NBA YoungBoy’s guilty plea in November 2024 to charges related to a prescription drug fraud ring in Utah. As part of a plea deal, he was required to pay a $25,000 fine but did not face additional jail time or probation beyond his existing federal sentence.
