Nigerian singer Naira Marley has been officially cleared of any involvement in the death of fellow artist Mohbad.
On February 25, 2025, the Lagos Magistrate Court in Yaba dismissed all allegations against Naira Marley, along with associates Sammy Larry and Prime Boy. In response to the court’s decision, Naira Marley took to Twitter, quoting a verse from the Quran: “And whoever puts all his trust in Allah, he will be enough for him. (65:3).” The court also announced forthcoming prosecutions against auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe and Mohbad’s friend, Ayobami Sodiq, in connection with the case.
