Nagelsmann signs new Germany contract until 2028

Germany’s national football coach, Julian Nagelsmann, has extended his contract to remain in charge of the team until the 2028 European Championship.

Nagelsmann, who took over the role in 2023, has received widespread support for his work with the national squad. The German Football Association (DFB) confirmed the extension on Thursday, citing confidence in his leadership ahead of major tournaments, including Euro 2028.

The 37-year-old coach expressed his excitement about the new deal, saying, “It’s a great honor to continue leading this team. I’m committed to achieving success with the players and staff.”

Nagelsmann previously managed top Bundesliga clubs such as Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig before transitioning to international football. Under his guidance, the German team aims to reclaim its place among Europe’s footballing elite.

The announcement reinforces the DFB’s commitment to long-term planning and stability as the team prepares for upcoming competitions.
