American rapper Meek Mill has announced plans to hire an investigative team to uncover why his name is being associated with embattled music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs.
This follows Diddy's recent arrest by Homeland Security on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and interstate transportation for prostitution. In the wake of his arrest, many of Diddy's associates, both past and present, have come under media scrutiny.
Meek Mill, reacting to the reports, revealed his willingness to spend $100,000 to hire investigators to find out how he became linked to Diddy’s case. He also expressed an interest in discovering who is "empowering" the media to involve him in the controversy.
Taking to his X handle, Meek Mill wrote, "I wanna hire an investigative team with 100k cash to find out every specific detail involving Meek Mill’s name in Diddy’s case. I also want them to look at who is powering the media involving Meek in anything to do with buddy! ‘Something’s not right’."
Meanwhile, Diddy has denied all charges, pleading not guilty on Tuesday, September 17. Despite his plea, the Bad Boy Records founder has had his bail request denied twice.
