Manchester United is set to sign 18-year-old defender Leny Yoro from Lille for £52 million, plus add-ons.
Yoro, considered one of Europe's top young players, had been linked to Real Madrid but has traveled to England for a medical with United.
This would be United's second summer signing, following Joshua Zirkzee's arrival from Bologna. Manager Erik ten Hag wants a new center-back after Raphael Varane left the club.
Ten Hag had also pursued Matthijs de Ligt and Jarrad Branthwaite but had offers rejected.
Yoro made his Lille debut at 16 and would bolster United's defense. The signing is expected to be finalized soon.
