Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton has denied reports that he is losing confidence in Ferrari after his recent disqualification at the Chinese Grand Prix.

Speaking ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix, the seven-time world champion called the claims “complete rubbish” and reaffirmed his trust in the team.

Hamilton’s start with Ferrari has been eventful. He finished 10th in Australia, then claimed victory in the sprint race in China. However, his triumph was overshadowed when both he and teammate Charles Leclerc were disqualified due to technical violations.

Despite the setback, Hamilton remains optimistic. “I have absolute 100 percent faith in this team,” he told reporters. He added that expectations surrounding his move from Mercedes to Ferrari had been unrealistic. “I don’t know if people expected us to start winning from race one, but that wasn’t my expectation,” he said. “It’s a new team, a new culture, and it takes time.”

Hamilton also commented on Red Bull’s decision to replace Liam Lawson with Yuki Tsunoda after just two races, calling it “harsh.” The 40-year-old driver, now one of the most experienced racers in Formula 1, expressed sympathy for 23-year-old Lawson, saying young drivers need more time to adjust.

The Japanese Grand Prix will be another opportunity for Hamilton to prove himself in Ferrari colors.
