Fireboy DML says he did not get the chance to see Lagbaja's face during their studio session.
DML, for his fourth album ‘Adedamola’, enlists several music heavyweights including Seun Kuti, DJ Spinall and the US singer John Batiste.
In the snippet of Africa Now Radio, Fireboy said he featured the music icons in the album to give it a “nostalgic feel”.
He said he was excited to have featured Lagbaja in the project, adding that ” he is a special artiste”.
Lagbaja is known for his signature use of mask which covers his identity.
“That is a special record, right there. It means a lot to me getting a legend like Lagbaja on that record,” he said.
