Nollywood star, Kemi Adetiba, has announced that King of Boys 3 is officially happening!
This marks the third chapter of the cultural heavyweight that has defined modern Nigerian cinema, following 2021’s critically acclaimed King of Boys: The Return of the King.
On her 45th birthday, Adetiba had a little more than a celebration as she gave her fans a gift of her own. Taking to Instagram, the filmmaker dropped a chilling teaser video. It opens with an incoming call from the Queen herself—Sola Sobowale. Her unmistakable voice booms: “I, Sola Sobowale, believe in you. I trust you. Let’s go and show them, big time!” Chills. Literal chills.
The anticipation for King of Boys 3 has been building for years. Back in April 2023, Kemi hinted at three massive projects in her pipeline: King of Boys 3, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Welcome to the Fourth. True to her word, the powerhouse creative has been steadily working, saving the biggest reveal for her milestone birthday. Mark your calendars, December 2025 is when this next masterpiece will hit the screens.
