In a candid interview on the podcast series Tea with Tay, Nigerian singer Kcee opened up about his financial journey and the evolving dynamic with his younger brother, Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money.
Kcee revealed that E-Money once served as his manager during the early stages of his music career. At that time, Kcee was financially ahead, even contributing to E-Money’s wedding expenses. However, as E-Money ventured into business, his wealth grew significantly, surpassing Kcee’s earnings from music.
Reflecting on this shift, Kcee stated, “He used to be my manager; I made money before him. When he was doing his wedding, I was part of the sponsor. Then he started making money and making more money.”
Kcee also expressed that if he had invested the same amount of time and resources into business as he did in music, he believes he would be ten times richer today.
Despite the changes in their financial standings, the brothers maintain a strong bond, supporting each other’s endeavors without any animosity.
