John Cena has stirred controversy with his candid remarks about his decision not to have children. In a recent interview on the Club Shay Shay show, the 47-year-old actor and wrestler explained why he and his wife have chosen to remain child-free.
Cena stated, "I don’t want kids. I’m 47 now and don’t have them. Everyone asks if I want them, but I have to admit that it’s not the easiest decision. A lot of why we’re here is to reproduce, but I’ve chosen a different path."
He candidly acknowledged that his personality—described as driven, stubborn, and selfish—might not align with the demands of parenting. "My biggest fear is not being able to invest the time needed to be a great parent. I want to live life to the fullest and still have a lot I want to do," Cena said.
Despite societal pressures and natural instincts, Cena and his partner share the same values on this issue, preferring to focus on their passions rather than starting a family. Cena admitted the topic is challenging to discuss due to societal judgments but stood firm in his decision, reflecting on his long-held stance against parenthood.
