Nigerian artist Iyanya has expressed his desire for a future collaboration between Afrobeats stars Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy. This follows Davido’s recent remarks on a podcast, where he cited fan-induced rivalries as a significant barrier to joint projects among the trio.
Sharing a clip from the interview on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Iyanya voiced his support for unity, stating:
I believe one day we will get that collaboration between David, Wiz, and Burna. I am one of those in the industry who have been privileged to have worked with all three. Let’s make music and get money.”
This sentiment aligns with calls from other industry figures advocating for harmony among Nigeria’s top artists. In December 2024, music executive Paulo Okoye urged Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy to reconcile their differences for the betterment of Afrobeats.
While collaborations between these artists remain rare, fans and industry insiders continue to hope for a joint project that could showcase the unity and strength of Nigerian music on the global stage.
