Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo has pledged her continued support for Omowunmi, the widow of late singer Mohbad, until proven guilty by law. Mohbad tragically passed away on September 12, and his death has since sparked intense speculation, with some individuals directing suspicion toward his widow.
During a recent Instagram live session, Iyabo Ojo urged people to refrain from passing judgment on social media, emphasizing the importance of waiting for a legal verdict. “Until the law proves her guilty, I will continue to support her,” Ojo stated firmly, adding, “Why would I want to be wicked to someone else’s child when the law has not found her guilty?”
Ojo also challenged those claiming to have evidence to bring it to the authorities rather than fueling online rumors. She highlighted the potential damage of baseless accusations, saying, “If tomorrow we find out she is innocent, do you think an apology will repair the emotional trauma caused?”
The actress’s stance emphasizes the importance of justice and the dangers of rushing to conclusions, especially on social media, where the court of public opinion can be swift and unforgiving.
