Italian striker Moise Kean has been discharged from the hospital after collapsing on the pitch during Fiorentina’s 1-0 loss to Verona in Serie A on Sunday.
Kean, 24, was stretchered off in the second half following a clash of heads, sparking concerns. His collapse echoed a similar incident earlier this season involving teammate Edoardo Bove, who suffered a heart attack.
Fiorentina later confirmed that Kean underwent medical tests, all of which came back negative. "He was discharged from the hospital in Verona overnight and has returned to Florence," the club stated.
Kean, who joined Fiorentina from Juventus, has been in top form, scoring 19 goals this season and earning a recall to the Italian national team. In September, he netted the winning goal in Italy’s Nations League match against Israel.
Earlier this month, he was subjected to racist abuse on social media by Inter Milan fans after Fiorentina's defeat at the San Siro.
