Boyega, at the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) panel, showered accolades at Nnaji, calling her "the Nollywood actress who inspired me. She is my favorite Nollywood actress." He credited her, along with Omotola Jalade, as influences from his childhood.
Boyega also commended Nnaji's subtle and versatile acting style, noting her ability to convey deep emotions without overstating. "To me, I feel her acting ability could transcend any type of filmmaking… she doesn’t always have to say much. And I think film is a different medium… Film is intimate."
