Nigerian rapper Falz is making headlines with his bold response to VeryDarkMan (VDM) amid an ongoing defamation case. The controversy erupted after VDM accused Falz and his father, prominent human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN), of aiding crossdresser Bobrisky in evading money laundering charges.
In a recent episode of the Afrobeats Podcast, Falz recounted his attempts to calmly discuss the defamatory claims with VDM, who immediately became defensive. “This guy was on the attack right away; I was just trying to understand his point. He even told me, ‘You’re a lawyer; go to court,’” Falz explained.
Falz revealed that while he considered pursuing criminal charges for defamation, he opted for a different route. “What you posted is absolute nonsense, and I need you to take it down and apologize,” he asserted, noting VDM’s inaction in response.
Frustrated by the false allegations and the disrespect shown to his father, Falz emphasized, “I’m not looking for trouble, but I won’t sit quietly while you disrespect my family. If you think you want trouble, then that’s my area of expertise.” His passionate words signal that he’s not backing down, turning the heat up on this brewing confrontation.
