The Headies Academy has announced the postponement of the 17th edition of the Headies Awards, originally set for April 5, 2025. The ceremony will now take place on Sunday, April 27, 2025. In a statement released on March 22, the Academy cited “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason for the rescheduling, emphasizing their commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for all stakeholders.
This year’s event marks the return of the Headies to Nigeria after being held in the United States for the past two editions. The nominations for the 17th Headies have been announced, with artists like Rema, Odumodublvck, Tems, and Ayra Starr leading the list.
The Headies Academy expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the change and thanked fans and stakeholders for their understanding and continued support.
