The Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) has unveiled its 2025 nominations, highlighting outstanding achievements in African cinema and television. Femi Adebayo’s film Seven Doors leads with nine nominations, followed by Lisabi: The Uprising with seven, and Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectresecuring five.
In the Best Lead Actor category, nominees include Adedimeji Lateef for Lisabi: The Uprising, Femi Adebayo for Seven Doors, and Gideon Okeke for Tokunbo. The Best Lead Actress category features Chioma Chukwuka for Seven Doors, Bimbo Ademoye for Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre, and Uche Montana for Thin Line.
The 11th edition of the AMVCA is scheduled for May 10, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria, celebrating excellence in television, film, entertainment, and digital content creation across Africa.
